Boulder Senior Photography: A Session with Isabelle

Isabelle had a fantastic senior session.  She was such a natural in front of the camera.  Her ability to relax and have fun made for some truly amazing pictures.  We decided to have a mix of urban shots as well as some that captured the breath-taking landscapes of North Boulder.  The shoot started just off Pearl Street, where we found the perfect nook that had so many great spots to shoot.  Her dress and shoes had strong patterns that photographed beautifully with the stairs and walls of this location.  Isabelle brought some stunning items to incorporate into her shoot, including this colorful fabric she got while in Guatemala.  It meant a lot to her to include these pieces into her gallery of final images  We layered the smaller one as a scarf to add a pop of color and texture.  The larger one was wrapped around her for a headshot.  Then she just moved with the fabric and we let the color play with the landscape.  All the shots turned out so incredible!  I think it looks like an ad for Free People!  It’s always fun to get everyone involved with senior photography and take advantage of the time with me to capture moments together as a family.  Her mom and dad  joined in for these precious shots.  At the very end of the shoot a rainbow appeared in the sky over the field at the Smitten and Swoon Studio.  We ran as fast as we could to capture it.  It was the perfect ending to amazing senior photography!

There are a lot of elements that go into creating a photo shoot.  Take the extra time to read over the wardrobe guide and consider different options that you can put together.  If you are still unsure you can always head to Anthropologie or Nordstrom for advice.  They have in-house stylists that are there to help you put together the perfect ensemble for the shoot.  It’s fun to go to your favorite store and have a stylist put together one head-to-toe outfit that will look amazing in photographs.  Having the right wardrobe will also help you to feel confident and comfortable.  Isabelle took the time to put together some really fabulous choices.  She also took the time to have her makeup done by our beloved girls at Alchemy.  They created the perfect natural, fresh-faced look that photographed amazingly.
