new baby girl {boulder newborn photographer}

I was so excited to help welcome little Colette into the world with custom newborn and family photography.  We kept the session super simple and sweet and were able to get lots of different poses in just a couple hours.  We started the photo session with a circle of flowers around her.  When it’s too cold to go outside for photos, I love to bring nature into my warm studio.  The circle of flowers is always my favorite.  Colette slept so well through all the different poses and colors.  We kept it super natural and simple with soft pinks, grays and whites.  I always end my newborn sessions with family photos.  I like to think about how valuable these images will be thirty years from now when Colette is all grown up.  How fun it will be for her to look back at her beautiful mom and dad and see how much love they had for her from the very beginning.  This family is from California, so showcasing their daughter’s birth place of Colorado was important to them.  We lucked out and got a beautiful snowstorm a couple days after the newborn session for a mini family session.  Outside in softly falling snow, we took some family photos with the mountains in the background.  We wrapped baby girl in a pretty red wrap.  The pop of red looks so pretty with the winter background.  I am already looking forward to Colette’s three month photo session where she’s coming back to be photographed in my spring green garden!
